Chief Head Delegate - Mila Grönros

Contact: chiefheaddelegate@mun-uzh.org

My name is Mila Grönros, and I’m currently finishing my Master’s degree in International and Comparative law at UZH.

As an international law student, I’m very familiar with the UN system. Thus, I was interested in a student association that simulates UN decision-making. It also seemed like a cool opportunity to meet new people and practise my public speaking skills.

I’ve been happy to notice that my expectations were met since I joined MUN UZH. I particularly appreciate that the association welcomes everyone to the weekly sessions, regardless of their discipline or (lack of) previous experience. I’ve gained lots of perspective from debating matters with people from different backgrounds and who take a distinct or contradictory stance. What is even more important, is that I’ve found many friends in this amazing community who all share a passion towards MUN. Something you have to learn from the beginning is voicing your interests as well as cooperating and negotiating with others to ensure those interests are met.

I have yet to attend an international conference, as I joined the association last year. However, I had the pleasure of being part of the Organising Committee at ZuMUN 2023 in Zurich as a Delegates and Registration OC member.

This year, I will be acting as Chief Head Delegate, with the responsibility of looking for, planning and gathering the people to attend conferences abroad and within Switzerland. I ran for the board because I wanted to give back to the community, and to help with shaping another year of MUN for both veterans and rookies.

I am very much looking forward to bringing you to all the international conferences! If you have any questions, concerns or happy news, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
