Hi, my name is Zilan and I study Political Science and Economics in my fifth semester. I have been a member since fall semester 2023 and I am the Head of Communications for this academic year 2025/26.

I became a member of MUN UZH since I wanted to improve my English speaking skills and get out of my comfort zone regarding public speeches and improvising skills. As I only held two speeches in our sessions so far, this year I will challenge myself to speak more often. The beautiful part of MUN UZH is I can do exactly that without being judged or laughed at. Therefore, I would say what makes MUN UZH so special is the safe environment and the support you get from your awesome community.

As your Head of Communications I’m responsible for our platforms such as Instagram, LinkedIn, the website but also for the monthly newsletters and everything in between. My intentions are to be more active on LinkedIn and give our Instagram account a twist with regular event recaps.
